Section's next meeting:
The next Interest Section meeting will be at EUSA's 15th Biennial International Conference in 2017 in Miami.
Working mission statement:
This EUSA interest section focuses on EU policy broadly conceived: the pressures, principles and ideas that drive the policy process, discussions about policy models as they apply to the EU, the theoretical debates, and the interplay between EU institutions, member states, non-state actors, and non-EU actors. One of the aims is to help develop better theories of the EU policy process. The section also promotes a new focus on specific policy areas not already covered by existing interest sections. It is interdisciplinary in nature, encouraging the participation of faculty and students from the social sciences and the humanities, experts in law, policy makers, and policy specialists. Its aim is to bring a new focus to discussions about the nature and personality of the EU as a generator of policy decisions.
