The College of Europe (Bruges campus) is seeking applications for the position of a part-time Academic Coordinator (25-50%) for the joint College of Europe-Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy Master of Arts in Transatlantic Affairs (MATA) programme (, starting on 1 September 2021.

Essential requirements are:

- a Ph.D. in Political Science, International Relations, Law or Economics – or related disciplines – with an excellent result;
- at least three years of professional experience at a post-doctoral level and in an international context;
- a demonstrable interest and expertise in transatlantic relations;
experience in the management and administration of higher education programmes;
- university-level teaching experience;
- an excellent command of English; a good command of French is an asset; and
a high measure of flexibility.

Tasks include:

- managing the Master of Arts in Transatlantic Affairs;
- coordinating with the Departments and Services of the College of Europe as well as with the relevant services at the US partner institution, The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (Tufts University);
- overseeing a team of one part-time Academic Assistant and a part-time secretary;
liaising with external stakeholders and alumni of the programme;
- engaging in teaching, research and publication activities on transatlantic affairs;
- organising lectures and/or other events in the framework of the Master of Arts in Transatlantic Affairs programme;
- ensuring, on average, at least one or two days per week in Bruges (depending on the part-time arrangement).
